People buy stories....what is yours?
I love stories.
Stories that tell you where things came from...how they came about. The back-story to the here and now... It’s what lets me (and your future customers) gain a ‘buy-in’ to you and your business.
Never are they more important than during your start-up journey. You see...there is a lot of competition in the marketplace. There will be lots of direct (doing the same type of thing, the same type of way) or indirect (doing a similar thing, but going after the money that could pay for your product or service instead!) competitors trying to sell similar stuff to yourself.
All good marketers know that in order to appeal to human beings, you have to sell a story.
People buy people.
Some of the ways you can tell your start-up story include:
What’s the process you used, to actually start
Why did you choose this business?
How do you make these products?
How did you improve the service as the business began to grow?
What’s your manifesto for the business?
Why are you different to others?
What did you wish you knew...back when you started?
What do the customers really need to know?
What’s your secret sauce?
How do you feel about your business?
How does it fit in with family life?
And there’s different ways to deliver this story...
We can use video, animation, infographics, thank-you notes, viral emails or simply...via text on the 'About Us page.
Stand out from your competition.
Show your potential customers you are human...have a real-world, real-life story...
